NEW YEAR; NEW ME

Hello; it has been a while hope you have been well.   It’s the New Year and for the first time in a while, I didn’t see any new year new me statuses. Have people given up on changing their lives? Or are we overwhelmed by the state of the world which seems to not be changing?  In our capacity, we cannot change the world but what we can change is our look at life. We set targets for new year’s resolutions but we rarely ever get to attain a satisfactory result at the end of the year. The reason for this is we always procrastinate for example I have been thinking I need to lose some weight so I have been thinking of the diet when I asked when I plan to start it I said the 10th and knowing myself I will keep procrastinating. So because we do not start the year on the right footing we set ourselves up for failure. So in the same way, if we wish to succeed in any of our targets, plans let’s start on the right footing. ILWA NTOMBO

The now popular internet slogan that speaks to the female child to fight can be taken to mean so much. For me it came as a call for women to realize their full potential, as women we have been availed opportunities our predecessors would have considered impossible. So let us grab them and harness them to their full potential.

ILWA NTOMBO take your place in society realize your purpose on this earth. As Mark Twain said the two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.  Find out why you were born find your place in society, the purpose of our lives is bigger than our individual selves. Don’t limit yourself to your situation, be open minded, be adventurous. Remember the world is your oyster, don't settle for the hand you have been dealt allow yourself to dream. See the world as others have not seen it, be ambitious, patient and diligent, to realize your dreams. ILWA NTOMBO leave a life with purpose don’t just follow the path open doors others have not seen be the Florence Nightingale the Lady of the lamp.

ILWA NTOMBO, ILWA to leave your footprints in the sands of time as Beyoncé said. Don’t leave your life passively; don’t just be another leaf in the forest be the baobab tree that is known for the shelter and life it provides.  Christians believe in the purpose of the ministry and all the disciples and women you read in the bible had a purpose they lived for a purpose far greater than their next meal. Deborah was a judge an adjudicator, Esther a queen who saved a whole nation. Be a woman with purpose more than what meets the eye ILWA.

People should find value in being with you ILWA NTOMBO for a purpose greater than yourself. ILWA for yourself, ILWA for your sisters, ILWA for your community, ILWA for your children.  Our mothers fought for us they opened doors otherwise closed to us. My mothers are more than just women they are warrior queens who through all life’s hardships managed to provide, protect, raise and better their children. I pay respects to our mothers and I say ILWA NTOMBO TO MY FELLOW SISTERS.
